Thoughts

 Does the mind ever stop thinking? From the time one wakes up till the time when you asleep, one constant companion is thoughts in one's mind. It's this constant chattering which is what takes up most of our mental space every day. Many times I keep wondering why does it talk to so much? Why so many thoughts? Is this natural or the way one is conditioned, that decides the magnitude of number of thoughts in a person mind!

It is also to be noted that managing thoughts or no thoughts is something which everyone talks about, however is difficult state to achieve. Even if momentarily there is some relief from the never ending thoughts inside the head, it just comes backs. So what is it that one is suppose to do? How to handle it ?

My personal experience and what I try and follow is to let it be if not let it go. No seriously this to me is only practical way to handle the thoughts- one cannot do away with it completely so why not let it be !! Create some space between oneself and the thoughts, see if the two are same or different. In today madenning times what else can one do to get hold of one's mental health. What books say and what reality is - gap has to be bridged.

As they say you become what you think, but can there be a state where you let the thoughts be and you be besides it.....hmmm worth exploring.....one moment at a time ...
